Londoners! Please advise / help reasonable hotel accomodation-B&B in Victoria, Oxford Circus & Padd?

A young friend of mine is visiting London in November - She is acquainted with London but as the friend she was going to be staying with for 5 days, will be out of town on her days of visit-This young friend is visiting museums, and asked me to find out( I have always boasted that with those on Yahoo Answerers are the BEST) in helping- So please can any of you recommend some names of decent hotels close by to Victoria, Oxford Circus %26amp; Paddington areas or within 3/5 stops of the tube stations? The price should be around sterling 25 or so per night- If Breakfast is included , that would be brilliant!- Or if there is a B%26amp; B , that too would be just great-

Please guys %26amp; gals need your help ASAP so she can book her stay

Thanks, thanks and more thanks in anticipationLondoners! Please advise / help reasonable hotel accomodation-B%26amp;B in Victoria, Oxford Circus %26amp; Padd?
Snowbird, I'm a Londoner born and bred and, as you can imagine, am frequently asked for recommendations of places to stay. I'm afraid no hotel in central London offers single-room accommodation for anywhere near 拢25. To give you an idea of how low that rate sounds to a Londoner's ear, the Youth Hostels Association (YHA) charges around 拢18 per night for its central London hostels: http://www.yha.org.uk/find-accommodation鈥?/a>

Outside the central area (public transport zones 1 and 2) you get better prices, but 拢25 is still on the low side for hotels. With that thought, I'd suggest having a look at London Homestead Services. http://www.lhslondon.co.uk/

LHS is a nice, family-run agency for b%26amp;bs around London, offering accommodation in the 拢18-40 bracket, which works for you. All are within easy reach of a tube station, so your young friend will be able to get to the museums easily. As you'll remember, the biggest clutch of major museums is in South Kensington: this is on the District and Piccadilly lines, so bear that in mind when selecting one of LHS's properties.

Best of luck, anyway and I hope your friend has a great time here.

I am English and was in London earlier this year. I think you will find it impossible to find a hotel for 25 pounds a night in London, you might try going online and looking for a youth hostel, that might work.

Breakfast is seldom included in England unless it is a Bed and Breakfast and those would be much more expensive especially in London. 25 pounds is only about $50 and there will be pretty much nothing in the area you have suggested.

I am certainly not trying to be negative just honest, I would hate to mislead you. London is one of the most expensive Capitals in the world.

Best wishes, and enjoy a wonderful city!

Which one of these B&B hotels are the best in Victoria, London?

I'm planning to have a short trip at London. I want to stay at a affordable bed and breakfast hotel that is close to the Victoria Station. I've found the Comfort Inn Victoria and Best Western Victoria, does anyone know which one is better? Or does any local people know if there is any other hotels in this range? Thank you.Which one of these B%26amp;B hotels are the best in Victoria, London?
I think Comfort Inn Victoria looks a lucrative bet just got some of its reservations reviews at http://www.tophotels4u.com/London/

to make your search easy on the site just click the blue link "Hotel Name Contains" and copy paste either the word "Comfort Inn Victoria" or "Best Western Victoria" and you will get precise results about the hotel.....

Thanks tho'...

Age restriction for booking a hotel room in British Columbia, Canada.?

I am looking to book a hotel room in Victoria, British Columbia for two nights. It will be for me, an eighteen year old, along with another eighteen year old.

Is it possible to book when eighteen? Can you give me names of specific hotels that accept patrons of this age? Would a legal adult have to sign us in?

Please give me any and all the information you have on this topic.Age restriction for booking a hotel room in British Columbia, Canada.?
You have to be 18, so it wont be a problem.

Almost all hotels except you to give a credit card so they keep it on file (incase you damage hotel room).

You are a adult, your 18.

Hotels accept debit to pay, but almost all will want a credit card to put on file, and reverse any preauthorised charges when you return the key.Age restriction for booking a hotel room in British Columbia, Canada.?
At 18 in Canada you are a legal adult.

Can't buy smokes or alcohol (both 19) but you're legal in other aspects. Absolutely no problem booking hotels. Renting cars, on the other hand, is difficult for anyone under 25 (I guess for liability reasons), so watch out for that if you're gonna need it.

Edit: Credit cards are preferred, especially at bigger hotels. I would call the hotel you've decided on first and make sure that debit is accepted.

What is the best hotel to stay at in Victoria, BC-Canada? Why?

For a luxury hotel i would suggest the Empress or the Marriot. The Empress hotel is a very old lhotel the rooms are fairly nice if you are on the gold floor the rooms are alot more upscale. There is afternoon tea. It has alot of history. The Empress is runned by Farimont so it is well known. The Marriot is also a beautiful hotel a little smaller alot newer. I just stayed at the Marriot last weekend The rooms are very clean and bright. The hotels are both located in the downtown . Near lots of shops, restraunts, and beautiful views of the city. For more info on Victoria plz visit.. hellobc.com it will help you out. hope i helped. What is the best hotel to stay at in Victoria, BC-Canada? Why?
What's your budget? If you want luxury and elegance probably the Fairmont Empress is the way to go. The Grand Pacific is another. Both are located along Victoria's "Inner Harbour" close to shopping, restaurants and tourist attractions. If you're more budget conscience there are other less expensive options. The Victoria Marriott was named 2007 Hotel of the year by Marriott International. What is the best hotel to stay at in Victoria, BC-Canada? Why?
Me and my dad are from Victoria, and we moved back after a few months of him doing business in Winnipeg last year, but our house was being rented out until the end of the month, and it was around the 15th of March. We stayed in the Victoria Mariott, and we stayed for two weeks. I have never enjoyed a hotel more. It's beautiful, the beds are amazingly comfortable, the patios have nice views, and the furniture is very fashionable. The room service is fast and delicious, the front desk mini-convinience food is fabulous, and the restaurant, which I think is called Fire and Water, has a lot of great food on the menu.

  • Is the Thistle Victoria in London a good hotel?

Here are some highlights to the Thistle Victoria:

    - Grand Victorian property located adjacent to Victoria train station,

    - Blue patterned fabrics combine with light tones in the 357 modern guestrooms, all with high-speed Internet ports and cable TV.

    - A concierge is on hand to help book shows and restaurants; alternatively onsite dining and room service are available.

Location is excellent. The hotel is physically connected to Victoria station (with entrances inside and outside the station).

Lobby is quite nice and there is an eating establishment.

Our first room was simply disgusting. When I pulled the comforter back on the bed, the sheets were covered in what appeared to be human hair. It was as though someone had their hair cut in the bed earlier that day. The bathroom was riddled with nasties too. The elevators were not working so we went back down the seven flights of stairs to the front desk (who was very friendly). They apologized and gave us another room. Up the stairs we went (again).

This room might have been clean but we didn't really find out as we opened the door on a young couple during an intimate moment.

Back down to the front desk, and this time I asked for the manager. The manager was very apologetic (and I told him he should really be apologizing to the folks in room 760). He took us to another room which was acceptable (although the bathroom had used towels inside). We had to laugh. Having spent a fair amount of time in Europe, I've learned to significantly lower my standards regarding hotels, but this was hilarious.

I was taken aback by the general lack of sophistication amongst the staff as well. They couldn't seem to understand that we really wanted a single bed.

To make it up to me and my partner, he sent us a complimentary bottle of South African Merlot (which was a nice gesture).

Location is excellent, just watch out for the quality of the room. The staff is kind but incompetent. They also seemed very short staffed. I overheard a conversation at the front desk (the next day) that the hotel was running an internet special for 50 pounds per person on certain days. And the hotel had overbooked.

Your best bet is to stay near Victoria, as Wembley is a bit of a depressing place. There are tons of cheap hotels near Victoria Station. They are mostly situated in Belgrave Road. Check some out in this link.

Traveloge, Premier Inn etc are generally cheap, but not on the night before or after a big concert in the area. Better to check out a site such as laterooms.com or booking.com, which often have good deals.Any lowprice hotels near london victoria station or wembley arena?
there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
