In december I'll be in London with my family for 5 days. I 'd reserve a quad room in Dover Hotel in Belgrave Road. Someone has been in this hotel? Is the zone good? Are there good restaurant or pub in the area near Victoia?Someone knows Dover hotel in London near Victoria Station?
Well, the reviews on TripAdvisor from people who have stayed at the Dover Hotel this summer are not great. Have a look here: http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserRev鈥?/a>
Mind you, many of the complaints are about how small the rooms are, which is something everyone is shocked by when they stay in any of central London's cheaper hotels. Space here costs a lot of money!
Other common complaints are the lack of air-conditioning (not a problem in December!) and that there are no lifts.
However, there are lots of restaurants and pubs around Victoria! Within a few minutes' walk you will find everything from pizza places and noodle bars (including a branch of the excellent Wagamama) to top restaurants.
You can get a full list of what's nearby from London Town's directory. Search under 'restaurants', for places near Victoria underground: http://www.londontown.com
Just a thought about the hotel...
As you will be staying for five days and bringing your family, I wonder if you would be better staying further away from the centre of town, where you get better value for money. In that case, I would suggest the Bay Tree House bed-and-breakfast, which is in New Southgate, north London, but near an Underground station.
Here's what TripAdvisor reviewers say about it: http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserRev鈥?/a>
Anyway, I hope your visit is wonderful. By then, all the Christmas lights will be on and the shop-window displays complete (check out the windows at Selfridges, Harrods and Harvey Nichols; they're always special). And the big tree in Trafalgar Square will be up too. It's a lovely time to visit, although very busy!
Love from a Londoner born and bred.

The area is fine. There is plenty around there and a taxi up the road into the West End, the very centre, will not break the bank. I hope you plan your five days a little in advance.
I was on the hotel Kensington Londra that was nice hotel that I've stayed for a long time because I was enjoy staying there. I found that hotel on this website. If you want, you may check it to see if I am saying the truth.
